Fair question. You can definitely run a WordPress site for less than $99 a month. What you cannot do is get a custom design, a working shop, your own phone app, the speed work, daily tested backups and a person making your changes for less, because every one of those is a line on somebody's invoice. Our comparison prices those line items at normal market rates. If you only need a simple site and you enjoy doing the admin, WordPress will be cheaper and we will say so honestly.
